Thomas "Tom" A. Smalley, 80, of Coshocton passed away Monday, January 13, 2025 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Coshocton, Ohio on April 19, 1944 to the late Alfred P. and Mary M. (Gross) Smalley.
Tom was a 1962 graduate of West Lafayette High School. He worked at General Electric for 5 years before moving on to AK Steel where he worked for 38 years before retiring. He was a member of the Coshocton Archery Club, Professional Bowhunters Society, and Ohio Bowhunters Association. Tom was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time shooting at Twig Archery and teaching others how to shoot archery to help carry on the tradition. He also loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events and helping celebrate their accomplishments in life.
Tom is survived by his wife, Gladys (Griffith) Smalley, who he married May 15, 1964; children Lori Burris, Craig (Gina) Smalley and Chris (Donell) Smalley; grandchildren Zack Burris, Rachael (Jordan) Parker, Samantha (Andrew) Gorton, Zoe (Colton) Ralston, Erin Smalley, Jackie Smalley, Raychel Smalley and Krysten Smalley; and great grandchildren London Parker and Autumn Ralson.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Connie Hostetler and great granddaughter Charlotte Parker.
Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, OH 43812 on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 12:00pm - 1:00pm with graveside services at Coshocton County Memory Gardens to follow with Pastor Mike Walters officiating.
