Tom Jones, 67, of Coshocton passed away at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus on Thursday January 11, 2018.
Tom was born in Coshocton on June 13, 1950 to the late Harry T. and Lottie M. (McCoy) Jones.
He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and retired from AK Steel in Coshocton after forty plus years of service. Tom was a member of the Coshocton Gun Club and the N.R.A. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed collecting guns and Cowboy Action Shooting. A true passion of Tom’s was attending his daughters and grandchildren’s sporting events.
Tom is survived by his two daughters Lori (Brent) Mason and Megan (Tony) Shrimplin both of Coshocton; brother Donis Jones of Coshocton; sister Darlene (Jack) Berry of Coshocton; sister in law Diane Jones of Coshocton; grandchildren Josh Williams, Brendan and Rylee Shrimplin, Jakob, Ashton and Abram Jarvis, Andrew and Griffin Mason; special friends Rod and Peggy Burnside of Huntsville, OH; numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Jerry Jones and sister in law Marilyn Jones.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday January 15, 2018 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM where a memorial service will begin at 3:00 PM with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will also be performing military honors.
