Victoria Lynn Jones

Victoria “Vikki” Jones, 66, of West Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Riverside Manor in Newcomerstown. She was born on December 15, 1957 in Coshocton to the late Jackie and Ina (Rice) Jones. In 1979, she married James Baird who has since passed. She was an avid animal lover. She would try her best to save injured animals; helping cats, birds and even rabbits. She took in cats and dogs as pets and also loved wild animals such as wolves and eagles. Vikki loved and enjoyed spending time in her garden, inside and out. Her love for animals and nature were true to her Native American heritage. She had a strong spiritual heart that was evident to those around her. She attended the Calvary Chapel Bible Methodist Church in Coshocton. Vikki was kind, compassionate and non-judgmental to those around her. Leading many people to confide in her and call her mom. She enjoyed her time with family and loved her granddaughters, deeply.

Vikki is survived by her children, Christopher Baird, Daniel (Haley) Baird and David (Tina) Baird; grandchildren, Madelyn, Mae, Robert, Alex, Casey and Aaron; four great grandchildren; siblings, Cindy DeGroot, Steve Jones, Chuck Jones, Susie Jones, Teresa Vorholt and Jennifer Deshong as well as a loving step-mother, Yvonne Jones.

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, McKinlee.

A cremation will take place with the Miller-Kaser Cremation Services. A celebration of life will be held at Clary Gardens on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 3pm to 6pm.
