W. Jay Addy

W. Jay Addy of Newcomerstown, OH, passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on March 1, 2025, at the young age of 67.

Jay was born on February 5, 1958, to the late S. Edgar Addy and N. Eileen Hall. Jay was a graduate of Newcomerstown High School class of 1976, and was a proud Army Veteran. He loved to fish, tinker around in the garage, and spend time with family.

He is survived by his loving wife Charlene Addy; children George (Rebecca) Burton, Heather Addy, Timothy Addy, Nathanial (Amanda) Addy, Valerie (Phillip) Breton; his remaining siblings Lynn Addy, Martin (Jackie) Addy, Susan Addy, Victor Addy; grandchildren Macie, Jordyn, Damien, Aven, Zane, Hayden, Thomas, Charley, Michael, and Samuel. He also leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and so many dear friends.

Along with his parents, Jay was preceded in death by his son William L. Addy; and brothers Stanton R., Jack, and Bruce Addy.

Calling hours for Jay will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 10am- 12pm at the Cornerstone North Gospel Church, 1124 W State Street, Newcomerstown, Ohio 43832. A memorial service will follow at 12pm with his brother Pastor Martin Addy officiating.
