Walter A. Shaw

Walter A. Shaw Sr., age 88, of West Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at his daughters’ home. He was born on February 1, 1935 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Walter R. and Thelma (Henderson) Shaw. He married Edna (Burkey) Shaw, who preceded him in death in 2020.

He was a United States Airforce veteran. After the service he returned home and worked as a roofer. In his spare time, enjoyed golfing and mowing grass.

Walter is survived by his children Debra Hooper, Carol Swaney, Kay Shaw, Mike (Yolanda) Shaw, Donna Shaw, and Walt (Suzanne) Shaw; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren as well as sister, Donna Madison.

Preceding him in death are his siblings, Bob Shaw, Clifford Shaw and Katherine Startman.

Per Walter’s wishes a cremation will take place with Miller-Kaser Cremation Services and there will be no public services .
