Wesley E Shontz Jr.

Wesley Elijah Shontz Jr., 18, of Coshocton passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, after injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Wesley was born in Murfreesboro, TN on May 27, 2004, to Wesley E. Shontz Sr. and Shannon R. (Torch) Shontz who survive.

He was currently a senior at Buckeye Trail High School and working at Cracker Barrell in Cambridge.  Wesley loved being part of the cross-country team, track, River View Swimming, Keene Kountry Kids 4-H, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and life guarding at Lake Park.  He loved all Cleveland sports; he also loved music and enjoyed going to concerts.  Wes treasured his time hanging out with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Wesley is survived by his father Wesley E. Shontz Sr. and mother Shannon R. Shontz both of Coshocton; brother Xavier Shontz; sister Alyssa Shontz; grandparents Tom and Pam Gartrell of Strasburg, OH; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Susan Carr and brother Collin I. Shontz.

Friends may call at New Pointe Community Church, 23801 CR 621, Coshocton on Tuesday December 27, 2022, from 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service at the church.  Funeral services for both Wesley and his bother Collin will be on Wednesday at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Canal Lewisville Cemetery.
