William “Bill” Griffith, 80, of West Lafayette passed away Friday June 27, 2014 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital. He was born March 13, 1934 in Byesville, OH to the late Joseph and Althea (Makley) Griffith.
Bill was a graduate from West Lafayette High School and worked at Stone Creek Brick for 35 years. He loved working in his garden and tinkering around the house.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna (Schlarb) Griffith; daughter Brenda Griffith of West Lafayette; brother Jim Griffith of West Lafayette and sister Jane (Sam) Swinderman of Newcomerstown; Sister-in-laws Ruth, Edith, and Marjorie Griffith.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Edwin (Floetta) Griffith, Richard Griffith, Henry Griffith, Joseph Griffith Jr. and Emmett (Irene) Griffith; Sisters Dorothy (Earl) Dickerson, Betty (Wayne) Bradford and an infant sister Eleanor.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home 639 Main Street, Coshocton on Monday June 30, 2014 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM with Pastor Martin Addy officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown.
