William N. “Bill” Hardesty, 83, of Coshocton passed away at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital on Saturday December 14, 2013 after a brief illness.
Bill was born in Coshocton on April 10, 1930 to the late Frank and Iva Hardesty. On August 7, 1950 he married Amelia Betty (Collins) Hardesty and then joined the National Guard serving in Korea. He was a member of the Coshocton AMVETS and Coshocton Sportsman Association. He and his wife Amelia enjoyed riding their Gold Wing Motorcycle, having ridden across all forty eight states with the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.
Bill is survived by his wife Amelia; two sons David Hardesty of IN and Daniel (Tina) Hardesty of Coshocton; daughter in law Tina L. Hardesty of Coshocton; sister Onita Vesler of Coshocton; brother James (Shirley) Hardesty of Coshocton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his special canine companion Max.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Douglas Benjamin Hardesty and a sister Mary Sherer.
Per his wishes, a cremation will take place, no calling hours or services will be held. Memorial contributions may be directed to Meals on Wheels, 201 Browns Lane, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
