William F. Hopkins, 91, of Coshocton passed away at Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home in West Lafayette on Sunday April 21, 2019.
William was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 13, 1927 to the late William and Helen Hopkins. He served in the US Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. William retired from General Motors and was an active member of Shepherds Christian Assembly Church in Coshocton. He was a humble person, helping anyone he could and enjoyed collecting recyclables.
He is survived by his son Glenn Hopkins of Palm Harbor, FL; two grandchildren Monica and Nathan; several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Albina (Angel) Hopkins; step father Jimmy Clark; sisters Mae Cherveny, Delores Council and Virginia Stanley; brother Ray Hopkins.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday April 24, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM where funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Starkey Lawrence officiating. Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will also be performing military honors. Graveside committal services will follow at 2:30 PM in Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, Cleveland.
