Wilson Gordon Graham

Wilson Gordon Graham, 87, of Granville, formerly of Coshocton passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Middleton Assisted Living in Granville from natural causes.

He was born in Coshocton on February 29, 1936, to the late John and Elizabeth (Wilson) Graham.

On October 14, 2017, he married Dixie Laurer Fishbaugh which was officiated at The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum in Roscoe Village, a restored historic town on the banks of the Ohio and Erie Canal, in Coshocton, Ohio.

He graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 1958 and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958-1962.

Gordon began his career in news broadcasting at WTNS in Coshocton, OH before working at several radio stations in San Francisco and Los Angeles, CA. He moved to television news in the late 1960’s and eventually became a correspondent for NBC.

Gordon was hired as one of the first morning news anchors for CNN’s “Headline News.” He also was an anchor for Florida’s News Channel in Tallahassee and retired as an anchor for legislative coverage on Florida’s government-access television station, the Florida Channel.

Along with his wife, Dixie, he is survived by his sons Gordon Charles (Christine) Graham of Cincinnati, John David (Elizabeth) Graham of Jessup, MD and Ryan Jay (Shelby) Graham of Jacksonville, FL; daughters Kelly Louise Graham of Delaware, OH, Kaye Elizabeth (Matthew) Corbliss of Ellicott City, MD and Megan Shay (Michael) Patton of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren Cory (Melanie) Corbliss, Caroline Corbliss, Alan Terczak, Aiden Murphy, and Norah Graham; great granddaughter Sophie Corbliss.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson Collin Corbliss.

Per his wishes, a cremation will take place, no services will be observed.
