Woodrow E. “Woody” Cox, 64, of Coshocton passed away at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, on Monday January 6, 2014.
Woody was born in Mansfield, Ohio on April 10, 1949 to the late Harold E. and Eva J. Cox Sr.. He served in the US Army from 1968 – 1974 and worked for Rock Ten Stone Container for over 35 years.
Woody is survived by his step son Anthony (Sheri Slates) Goodrich of Coshocton; a brother William E. Cox of Mansfield; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his long time companion Dorothy “Dot” Valentine; and two brothers Harold E. Cox Jr. and Donald E. Cox.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Thursday January 9, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Funeral services for Woody will be at the funeral home on Friday at 11:30 AM with Lloyd Tenney officiating.
Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery with Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard performing military honors.
