Mark W Mccullough

Mark W. McCullough, 74, of Coshocton, a loving family man and dedicated community member, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2023, at the Morrison Hospice House in Zanesville. Born on April 28, 1949, in Coshocton, he spent his entire life in the town he loved, contributing significantly to his community and leaving an indelible legacy of compassion and service.

Mark was a devoted husband to Cheryl ‘Cheri’ McCullough, a proud father to Kerrie (Steve) Richardson and Kevin McCullough, and a doting grandfather to Aidan (Gabby Morris) Richardson and Keira Richardson. His joy was multiplied with the birth of his great-grandchild, Jonah Richardson. He also leaves behind a loving sister, Vicki McCullough, and a host of nieces, nephews, including Teresa (Donny) Robertson, Tammy (Dave) Urich, Rochelle (Denny) Brewer, Alayna (J.C.) Griffith, Colin Steele, Elise Steele, Robyn Bodde, Cory Johnson, Scott Wills and Chad (Diane) Wills; great nieces and nephews Robyn Robertson, Zach Robertson, Lexi Robertson, Carissa (Jack) Geraud, Nathan Urich and Miley Wills who will miss his wisdom, humor, and guidance.

A proud graduate of Coshocton High School, Mark dedicated his life to service and hard work. He served in the United States Army, stationed in Bangkok, Thailand, from 1969 to 1971, a time in his life that shaped his commitment to duty and honor. After his military service, Mark embarked on a successful career as a salesman for twenty-five years before moving on to work at AK Steel "Cleveland Cliffs" in Coshocton for fifteen years.

Mark was an active participant in his community, serving as a past President of the Coshocton Board of DD, a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church, and a member of the Coshocton Jaycees. His dedication to his community was recognized when he was awarded a lifetime national membership as a JCI Senator.

In his personal life, Mark was a man of many talents and interests. He was a skilled woodworker and was always tinkering on various projects and cars. He loved working outside and was an avid sports fan, with a particular affection for The Ohio State Buckeyes. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and traveling with them, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

Mark was known for his handy skills, his passionate spirit, his selfless nature and quick wit. His ability to fix anything that was broken extended beyond the physical realm into the hearts of those he loved. He was passionate about his family, his community, and the causes he believed in. His selfless nature was evident in the way he lived his life, always putting the needs of others before his own.

Mark's passing is a profound loss to his family and the Coshocton community. However, his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the positive changes he made. A beacon of strength, resilience, and kindness, Mark W. McCullough will be remembered fondly and missed greatly by all who had the privilege to know him.

Mark’s family fulfilled his wishes earlier this month, organizing a party with his closest family and friends, sharing memories together while Mark was still well enough to enjoy their company.
