Thomas Nelson

Thomas "Tom" Nelson Sr., age 73, of Coshocton, passed away on August 22, 2023 at Genesis Hospital. He was born on February 18, 1950 in Medina, Ohio to the late Ingolf and Betty Nelson. He was married to Cynthia Nelson, who passed away in 2020. Together, they owner and operated Nelson Auto Wrecking in Coshocton. Tom enjoyed anything that had to do with cars, from fixing them and collecting them to driving them in demolition derbies. He was known as "Gator" within the demolition derby community. Aside from cars, he also enjoyed antiques and hunting.
He is survived by his children, Thomas "Tom" Nelson Jr. of Florida and Stacy Nelson-Hayes of Coshocton; siblings, Michael Nelson, Jeffrey Nelson, Gregory "Yeti" Nelson, Linda Seitz and Barbara Reuter as well as his best friends, Lloyd McGilton, Mark Anderson and Chris Asbury.
Per his wishes, a cremation will take place with the Miller-Kaser Cremation Services.
